A Non-Greasy Moisturiser

Generally, I avoid using moisturisers. It usually makes my face sweat because of the product build up. No matter what they claim, the moisturisers never get absorbed into the skin and when I have my make up on, it creates a problem.

After much deliberation & consideration- I tried the Clean & Clear oil free moisturiser as I felt my face was getting too dry and less nourishment.

I’ve been using this product for over three weeks now and am happy to report the results. πŸ™‚

During the monsoons, I generally skip using a moisturiser as a base to my make-up. A foundation or a press powder can be applied directly after using a face wash. However, what I observed with this particular moisturiser is that it suits my skin type and gets absorbed every easily and doesn’t affect application of make-up as the texture is light and non greasy.

I also apply the moisturiser immediately after washing my face- that’s when the skin is a little damp and is more likely to absorb the moisture content in the product. Once the moisturiser gets completely absorbed into the skin without leaving any white residue, I proceed with application of make-up.

It’s always good to have a base before applying make-up

One of the strongest factors that I’m still continuing to use this product is that it helps prevent pimples. Pimples! No matter how old we get, the tiny little burst growing ugly on the skin bothers us a lot. I have also been using the Clean & Clear Pimple Clearing face wash and am very happy the effects. Will review the product in the next post- so stay tuned.

The product has a mild fragrance that’s pleasant yet not so overpowering. I hate when the products I use work well but do not have a good fragrance. But this product has a good balance between the effectiveness and fragrance.

The product is packaged in such a way that it is travel friendly. The 100 ml product is light and can be easily carried around.

Priced at 80 INR for 100 ml, the product definitely has value for money.

To sum it up, below are the pros and cons of the product:

What MOABG Likes:

  • Light Texture
  • Gets Absorbed into the skin easily
  • Doesn’t leave white residue on the skin
  • Pleasant & mild fragrance
  • Helps Prevent Pimples
  • Doesn’t affect application of make-up
  • Travel Friendly
  • Easy on the pocket
  • Simple yet ergonomic packaging

What MOABGΒ doesn’tΒ like:

Nothing, to be honest.

Overall Experience:

You may have realised that I’m already in love with this product. I’m considering to stick with this moisturiser till I get bored or maybe not!

If you are tired of your greasy moisturizer, you should definitely go for the Clean & Clear oil free moisturiser that’s non-comedogenic (doesn’t clog pores)

I would also advise you against switching between moisturisers very frequently as it will not help you determine the efficacy of the product. So stick to one product for a longer duration to analyse whether the product works for you or no. In my case, I chose to use this product for over three weeks consistently to be able to realise how effective it is.
